Jason Cassidy
Jason Cassidy
To some, Jason Cassidy's name and face is still unfamiliar. But, with two #1's and 4 top 10's in Texas, 2 Billboard charting singles and a #1 CMT Pure 12 pack video that held it's own for 6 consecutive weeks, the unfamiliar is steadily becoming more familiar to the eyes and ears.

With his band and live show, which are a force to be reckoned with, Jason is slowly, but surely, making a name and putting his own stamp on country music. Not only in the southern region, but his music is spreading rapidly, across the states and around the world. Jason has a loyal following of dedicated fans, who not only follow him for his music and live show, but for his nonstop humor, family values, and his genuinely down to earth, contagious personality.

Upon meeting Jason, you instantly feel like you are kicking back with an old friend. With insight that often takes a lifetime to develop, Cassidy's values shine through in his music allowing listeners to find a piece of themselves in every song. Jason is an artist who prides himself on writing from his own life experiences. His honest telling of trials and tribulations and his sincerity in the delivery of his songs, is his path to making lifelong fans. As for the songs that he records, he either has to have a personal connection to them, or have an immediate love for the story including the melody. Such as, his upcoming single "Cowboy Girl," penned by his buddy Ronny Vines and John Edwards, who also has a cut on the latest Jason Aldean album.

The single is the first release from Cassidy's 3rd album, 717, that hits stores early Spring of 2015. This greatly anticipated release follows a string of hits from the album's "Keep It Country" and "My Redemption" albums, which he recorded and released as his debut to the country music scene, in 2011. Cassidy's stellar debut cemented his position among fans and industry alike, as one to watch in 2012 (as evidenced by CMA Close-Up "Who New to Watch" Feb/March 2012). Following four straight Top 20 radio singles "Sounds Like an Angel To Me," "Honky Tonk Heaven," (#1 Texas Regional Radio Report), "What If" (#1 video on the fan-voted CMT Pure 12-Pack Countdown, #51 Billboard), "Ride of Your Life," (#5 Texas, #81 Billboard and his most recent Texas #1 "Blame it on Waylon" in 2013. All the stars seemed to be lining up perfectly until record label complications formed in 2013. After a long litigation they legally parted ways in August of 2014.

"Now, with a new-found independent business plan and a new team, I'm more ready than ever," says Cassidy excitingly! "My fire inside is reignited. I'm writing again. I'm so pumped for the future and I'm looking forward to the independent release of my new album. This album is all about getting back to me, 717 is not only my birthday but it's a group of numbers that I see all around me everyday in my life. I searched for an explanation to find out what it means to run across the numbers and found something called this….

The number 717 is made up of the vibrations and energies of the numbers 7 and 1, with the number 7 appearing twice, amplifying its influences. Number 7 lends its attributes of inner-wisdom and mysticism, spiritual awakening and enlightenment, persistence of purpose, understanding and good fortune. Number 1 resonates with the attributes of positive energies, new beginnings, motivation, will power, inspiration, attainment and happiness, knowledge and understanding.

Angel Number 717 is a message from the angels and Archangels that the new beginnings and opportunities occurring in your life will bring you into full alignment with your Divine life purpose and soul mission. You are encouraged to follow your intuition and the guidance from the angels regarding your next steps

The repeating Angel Number 717 indicates that positive changes in your life have put you on the right track in regards to your life purpose and mission. Keep up the great work you have been doing and you will continue to manifest your 'good'.

This was another sign from the Lord above that I'm on the right path, his path, and the path back to me and there was no question that 717 would be the name of the new album. I grew up on Rock N Roll, and I have a love for it that runs as deep as my love for country, and I'm proud to walk the line between new country and the roots where most of our hearts still are," stated Cassidy. "…just with a little Rock-N-Roll mixed in here and there. This record is the perfect mix of old and new that the fans will enjoy: Some traditional songs for the traditionalist at heart, some ballads that we all love, and some rocking tunes for the party crowds, younger generation, and the crazy rednecks like me. This is, by far, the broadest collection of songs I have ever recorded. 717 features ten songs that I wrote or co-wrote, four cuts from some good buddies of mine, and three bonus tracks. Something for everyone", Cassidy says.

Greg Hunt, owner and operator at Rosewood Studio in Tyler, Texas (Steve Holy, LeAnn Rimes), is at the helm as co-producer beside Jason, for the upcoming 717 album as well as having a hand in Cassidy's "Keep It Country" Album in 2013. "We brought in Nashville's heaviest hitters and hit makers on this album", says Hunt, "Brent Mason carrying the lead guitar duties and his long-time friend Eddie Bayers on the drums. Everything these guys have touched for years has turned to gold and that's where Jason is headed. These guys just have a special musical way of helping the artist deliver that message and feel to really accent the song and bring it to life."

A raw vulnerability surrounds Cassidy's music and his relatable lyrics have a lived-in feel. This organic, or as most say, traditional style, is instantly appealing to fans looking for authenticity. It has allowed Cassidy to perform full-time for more than 8 years to a large following of fans. With the crowds multiplying and growing in attendance along the way, he has been invited and played events such as the CMA Music Fest, Ziegenbock Festival, and many Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo events. Jason has also supported and played several events for our service men and women including the wounded warriors. He has shared the stage with friends including Tracy Byrd, Aaron Lewis, Easton Corbin, Steve Wariner, The Band Perry, Josh Thompson, Montgomery Gentry, Joe Nichols, Tracy Lawrence, Eli Young Band, The Bellamy Brothers, Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, Johnny Lee, Stoney LaRue and many more.

"I'm so blessed to be able to do something I love for a living and share the stage with, even become good friends with some of the most incredible musicians so early in my career," Cassidy says excitedly. "That's just a small part of the amazement in this career. There is nothing like witnessing a song that grabs a new fan for the first time, draws them to the dance floor, takes their mind off of whatever it is they have going on for a few hours, and then they leave with a little piece of me. Might be something that could change their lives forever…That's what keeps me going, THAT'S why I do this!"

When Cassidy isn't promoting his career, he cherishes any down time he has with his family and friends. You will usually either find him covered in camo, mud, or grease as he is an avid hunter and loves to fish. Jason grew up building cars and trucks with his dad at their family owned Hot Rod shop, and he continues to do so when he has the time. These activities have suited him well as he's been featured on outdoor lifestyle media outlets "Good Time Boys Radio Show" and on Aaron Lewis and Rock Bordelon's "On the Road" show. Keeping it "real," his country life anchors his musical goals and he assures there is still A LOT more to come.

"I look forward to us continuing to learn and grow, but most of all, touching hearts, one fan at a time. As long as there are country music lovers that will listen, then our path is clear, and faith, hope and a good song will get us there! I've heard a lot of my heroes say that it takes 10 years to get started in this business and start making a name, well if that's the case, y'all better get ready because we're just getting started!!!!"
